Blizzard blocks Japan IPs, still no progress

I’ve been running into issues connecting to battle.net for the past 3 weeks. If you’ve followed my adventures so far, it’s become obvious to you that the problem is on Blizzard’s side, but sadly they are not treating the issue with huge importance. I opened a ticket with their Customer service, and here is the last reply I got from them:

Greetings,

I appreciate you bringing this to our attention. I have forwarded along all of the information to our Web Coordinators so that the issue can be investigated. If I get any more information on the situation I will let you know. =)

Thank you for your time and feel free to let us know if you have any additional questions.

That was one week ago, and no news since then. I can still not connect to Battle.net through my home network in Japan. If you are running into the same issue and have access to a proxy or a VPN, please do open a ticekt to Blizzard here so that they realize this is impacting more than a handful of people.

    • You can do it using a VPN, if you’re lucky enough to have one. Or connect from work… Alternatively, if you’re lucky, your phone provider might allow you to access battle.net. This is how I opened the ticket initially

    Hey there!

Thank you for contact the Blizzard Game Master Department. I went ahead and got a head start in working on your issue.

I was really sorry to hear about your problems logging into the website. It looks like you were able to log in eventually so I’m glad to see you were able to resolve the issue on your own eventually. We are lucky to have fans who take the time to contribute new game ideas and suggestions for improving our products. I understand aspects of the website can be frustrating at times, however we are unable to accept suggestions via online conversations or in-game tickets due to legal concerns. I’m truly sorry for any inconvenience or frustration this causes.
